ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE ‘WALK IN INTERVIEW’
A “Walk In Interview” for the post of Senior Research Fellow – 2, strictly based on the „temporary contract under the project “Advanced Centre for Yoga Education and Research (ACYER)” at Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi, is going to be held at 3.30 pm on 01-06-2011 at Gujarat Ayurved University, Administrative Building, addressed as above.

Duly attested copies of the certificates should be attached with the forms completed in all respect and the originals are to be brought together at the time of the interview.

‘Advanced Center for Yoga Education And Research’ 1. Details about the posts advertised:-
2. Status of the posts:-
i. All the above said posts are of „OPEN‟ category as the project is a time bound activity.
ii. Please note that all the above posts are to be filled strictly on a “temporary contractual base under the project ‘Advanced Centre for Yoga Education and Research‟ (ACYER)” hence, these are not in any part or as a whole, the posts of Gujarat Ayurved University (GAU) or Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), New Delhi and the persons thus appointed, shall not bear any right what so ever in parlance to the full time or any other contractual employee of GAU or MDNIY.
iii. As these posts are to be filled under an understanding for the project between the MDNIY, New Delhi and GAU, Jamnagar, and by a „temporary contractual agreement‟ between the ACYER and the candidate selected through an interview for a specific period of time, the appointments shall be automatically terminated on the expiry of the same or it shall cease to exist according to the terms and conditions mentioned in the contract, what ever the case may be.
3. Particulars about the interview:
i. The originals of all the certificates attached are to be submitted for verification to the University officials when ever asked for and at the time of the interview.
ii. Non availability of any or all of the original certificates shall cease the eligibility of a candidate to appear in the interview.
iii. If, at any point of time, during the verification or even after, the documents/ information submitted by a candidate are found to be false, forged or tampered by any means, the concerned candidate shall be subjected to the actions decided by the University authorities including legal.
iv. The University deserves the right to fill – up or not to fill – up the posts advertised. v. A form fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) is to be paid either in cash or by a demand draft (DD) only, drawn in the favor of „REGISTRAR, GUJARAT AYURVED UNIVERSITY, JAMNAGAR‟ payable at Bank Of India, Hospital Road Branch, Jamnagar, at the time of registering the presence for the interview.

for Philosophico-Literary Research in Yoga

Guidelines & Position Description
A. Research Officers.
· Qualification
i. Post Graduate in Sanskrit / Yoga/ Philosophy
ii. Ph.D. in Yoga/Sanskrit or Five years research experience and should have
Published research papers on literary field in any Journal of repute would
be given preference.
iii. Knowledge of working on Manuscripts.
iv. Good analytical skills and must have command over English with a view to write research reports.
v. Knowledge of computers and MS Office and ability to adapt to type in hindi/Sanskrit would be preferred.
· Duties and Responsibilities
i. The role of the Research Officer is to provide research inputs by way of
- Identifying research projects and to help the H.O.D. in preparing future plans and proposals of the Department.
ii. To work on Research Projects with a view to complete the project in stipulated time.
iii. To translate the yogic material/ text from Sanskrit in to English/Hindi.
iv. Analysis of the collected data and to write research reports.
v. To work effectively in both independently and as a member of team as per the guidelines of H.O.D.
Remuneration:
Payment would be between 10,000 – 20,000 on consolidated basis for the first 11 months. Based on the review, the candidate would be eligible for pay band of PB 9300-34800 + 5400 after completion of one year.
B . Research Assistants
· Qualification
i. Post Graduate in Sanskrit/Yoga/ Philosophy with 55% Minimum Marks
ii. Knowledge of working on Manuscripts.
vi. Ability to communicate and conduct work in English.
vii. Ability to write research Papers At least 2yrs. of work experience in Literary field
viii. To work effectively in both independently and as a member of the team.
· Duties and Responsibilities
i. To work according to the guidelines in carrying out the basic works related to the projects
ii. To work as a team member and get the desired results.
iii. To collect materials related to the project.
iv. To help in finding proper import of yogic terms/concepts
v. To compile the material and to put it as a record so that it can be submitted to H.O.D. as and when required.
Remuneration:
Payment would be between Rs.8000 – Rs.15000 on consolidated basis for the first 11 months. Based on the review, the candidate would be eligible for pay band of PB 5200-20200 + 2400 GP after a year.
