Certificate Course in Yoga - Guest Teachers & Research Focus

Specialised certificate yoga course

Objective:

To learn under the guidance of Special Guest Teachers – Sri O.P.Tiwari ji, Mr. Paul Dallaghan and others, and to participate as subjects in scientific research on Yoga. Students will earn a certificate in yoga for full participation, as in other courses. This will involve periodic physiological assessment as well as blood and saliva samples and completion of surveys.

Intake Capacity:  40 + International

Age: There is no age bar for the course.

Medical Test: Candidates should be medically fit and sound. Selection is subject to clearing the medical examination conducted by the Institute.

Selection Process

After receiving applications and confirming the eligibility students will be randomly selected. Students will be informed well in advance so that they can have ample time to make travel arrangements.

Students will be randomly split between two groups for scientific yoga research purposes. Teachers and course set up will remain the same with slight differences in curriculum between groups.

 

 

Eligibility:

  • Qualification: Indian students need to present their HSC Pass while International students need to note their high school completion certificate or any University level degrees.
  • English language: Fluent in comprehension, speaking and reading
  • Novice status: Generally new to pranayama and basic yoga exposure to date
  • Required: Due to the nature of this CCY being part of a rigorous scientific study, selected students must agree in signing to participate as a subject for the study and allow the collection of research data through physiological, biological, and survey techniques and methods. In effect full participation in all elements of each part of the course is required. Failure to do so not only compromises the quality of research but also forfeits your place on the course without refund of any fees paid. The course will conclude with two survey questionnaires follow up by email at the 3 and 6 month mark post course completion: June 2 and September 2, 2019.
