Am\u1e5btasidhiyoga\u1e25 is a treatise on siddhayoga. According to its colophon it is composed by a siddha yogi whose name is Vir\u016bp\u0101k\u1e63a Siddha. The word ‘Siddha’ indicates that he is related to the Siddha Sampradaya. Actually the members of this sampradaya were followers of Gorak\u1e63anatha who is said to have been a great yogi of the Nath Sampradaya. Here, in this book, Gorak\u1e63an\u0101tha has been mentioned to be the guru of the siddhas.<\/p>\n
The subject matter of this book is a kind of yoga whose practitioners hold that the human body is a miniature form of the whole universe. For it is said: ‘Trailokye yani tattv\u0101ni t\u0101ni sarv\u0101\u0146i dehata\u1e25…'(What exists in the three worlds can be found in human body).
