The relation of \u015bri Gorak\u1e63natha to Hathayoga is similar to Mahar\u015fi Patanjali’s relation to what is termed by scholars as Classical Yoga – both are known as the systematizers of Yoga and not the originators. The treatise, Siddhasiddhantapaddhati\u1e25 (SSP) by \u015bri Gorak\u1e63anatha, is a classical text on Hathayoga which delineates hathayogic precepts and practices in their profundity and thoroughness and thus has become a pioneering source for succeeding hathayogic literature.<\/p>\n
