3rd sutra of chapter 2 of Hathapradeepika

“As long as Prana (vayu) is flowing in the body, life exists. Death ascends as soon as Prana (vayu) is drawn out from the body. Therefore Vayu should be regulated and Pranayama should be practiced”

Pranayama is an “art” through which one develops an awareness of one’s Prana (vital life force). Pranayama extends and empowers the Prana, also revitalises and soothes the vital energy into your body and harnesses your body. The soul of Pranayama lies in controlled inhalation, retention and controlled exhalation of the breath. There is no doubt that its therapeutic benefits have been stirring popularity all over the world in the modern era.

This workshop has been arranged to go deep into the practice of Pranayama-

  • It will be conducted in three consecutive series over a period of 3 months.

  • Each series will focus on pre-requisites and preparatory practices leading to practice of Pranayama.

  • The learner will gain in-depth knowledge of Pranayama from scratch in a progressive way.
