The six basic emotions – happiness, sadness, fear, disgust, anger and surprise affect human behavior in different ways. At times, it may seem like we are ruled by these emotions and their frequency. But, what if we understand our emotions and its frequency and from that frequency we “flip it”— literally make anger into compassion?

Every emotion is energy and energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed to another form or transferred.

Every emotion has its own frequency, so thereby understanding the frequency of each emotion will assist us in combining frequencies/emotions to our advantage.

To understand emotions, it’s important to understand that no emotion is bad or good, all emotions are just what they are, it is the perception we give the emotions that makes it bad or good. Emotions are simply energy and energy has its own frequency! 

The basic emotions are known to act like building blocks for the more complex and mixed emotions and thus balancing these emotions can lead to leading a more fulfilling and purposeful life. Yoga offers tools from its eight limbs to assist us in this process by improving our awareness and empowering us to make the right mix / balance to assist our emotional balance.
