The Book of OM is a thorough and comprehensive presentation of scriptural texts that gives meaning to and description of the use of the primordial sound OM in spiritual practice. The compilation is drawn from 29 Upanishads, both major and minor, translated into English. The Introduction looks at different ways of chanting and then at some practice pitfalls. Next there are the Upanishad texts, both in summary and in full. Finally, there is an annotated resource of scientific papers mostly published in Kaivalydhama’s Yoga Mimamsa journal. This publication of The Book of OM is made in memory of Swami Maheshananda.
