The convergence of the physics and ancient Indian wisdom happens to be a very profound subject of study across the world. The goal is not only to find the parallels between these two subjects but to cultivate a unified system of thought which inspires human intellect to take a giant leap into the vast expanse of Reality.

The Tao of Physics by Prof. Fritjof Capra is the pioneering book in this field in which he has synthesized the Eastern mysticism and modern physics. In the same spirit ‘Unravelling the Reality: Interface between Physics and Vedanta’ has been authored by Dr. Rajeshwar Mukherjee to amalgamate the complementary concepts of Physics and Ancient Indian wisdom. The book is an attempt to unravel the

‘hint of aspects deep within the world of physics, and yet unattainable by the methods of physics.’

Description

In his book entitled “Unraveling the Reality: Interface between Physics and Vedānta”, Dr. Rajeshwar Mukherjee makes an Avant- Garde attempt to find a connection between the doctrine of Vedanta and modern science. The common metaphysical strands in the two and relevance of one in the context of other are brought out adroitly. The attempt is laudable and relevant in today’s world. I am sure it will definitely go a long way in igniting and inspiring the young mind.

To quote Swami Vivekananda who said “If it be absolutely impracticable, no theory is of any value whatsoever, except as Intellectual gymnastics. The Vedanta, therefore, as a religion, must be intensely practical. We must be able to carry it out in every part of our lives.” I sincerely hope this work in the field of Philosophy and History of Science will inspire and encourage scholars in the field to seek newer areas of research and venture into the yet unknown. I wish all the best for the success of the book.
