Course Objectives

To provide correct, authentic and authoritative training in Pranayama based on traditional texts and science in the Kaivalyadhama Lineage.

With Pranayama generating much interest in the current yoga culture worldwide and it being an immensely important and sensitive practice, it is pivotal that Pranayama be taught correctly from a traditional, technical and scientific perspective.

Keeping the above in mind Kaivalyadhama has designed a course where students will gain a proper understanding of Pranayamic practices from an intellectual (traditional, technical and scientific) as well as practical and experiential point of view so that they can correctly teach the same to students in various settings.

The overall theme of this course will revolve around the definition, the technique/techniques (and its variations) and the outcome of Pranyamic practices. The outcome will be discussed based on Ayurveda as well as modern science.

The course is led by Sh. Sudhir Tiwari. He would be personally teaching the First steps and part of the third steps of each year assisted by other teachers. The Second and part of third steps will be taught by our certified Pranayama 3 years TT teachers under Sudhirjis guidance assisted by other teachers. They are all international established teachers.

Student Reviews

I joined this course to deepen my practice. The continuity of coming 3 times a year for 3 years with progressive goals is good. The time spent in a group during the course made it all special and one realises ones own practices this way. The experience was quite intense. I am very happy to be here for the course.

Anne-Lie Boman Sweden

The knowledge of yoga is extensive and profound, because of the inheritance of masters from generation to generation here in kdham, because of this many teachers explain in detail continue to elaborate about ancient classic yoga text, technical, experience and other aspects of yoga and; because a hundred years of persistent scientific experimentation, research has been conducted on how yoga practices lead to overall health in humans. We are fortunate to learn and understand the most complete content of ancient yoga, listen to and experience the meaning and essence of yoga and its practices. Each examination, though rigorous, sublimates what is learned, and the understanding of yoga deepens and becomes clear year after year.
This is not an end, but a new beginning. exploration and learning at the field of yoga and science never end !!!
