Chakra Meditation for Self-Healing and Balance

Meditate on the God of Love as residing in Brahma’s yoni in the shape of a ball, looking like ten million suns and as cool as ten million moons.

– Shiva Samhita Chapter 4, Sloka 3

In this workshop, we will explore the seven chakras, or energy centers, in the body and learn how to balance them through meditation.

By understanding and balancing our chakras, we can improve our physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Chakras are energy centers located along the spine, according to the ancient yogic text Shiva Samhita. There are seven main chakras, each associated with different physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities. Nadi, or energy channels, flow through these chakras, carrying prana, or life force energy, throughout the body.

According to Shiva Samhita and Hathapradipika, physical practice for chakra self-healing can include specific asanas and mudras, or hand gestures, to activate and balance each chakra. For example, the Muladhara (root chakra) can be stimulated through grounding poses such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Malasana (Garland Pose), while the Anahat (heart chakra) can be accessed through backbends such as Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Ustrasana (Camel Pose).

Pranayama practice can also be used to cleanse and balance the chakras. Techniques such as Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, and Kapalabhati, can help to clear blockages and increase the flow of prana.

Advanced meditation on Rudraksha, or the sacred beads of Lord Shiva, can also be used to access the chakras and increase spiritual awareness. The Shiva Samhita describes specific techniques for using Rudraksha to activate each chakra and reach higher states of consciousness.

Advanced chakra meditation practices based on Siddh Siddhant Padhati can also be used to awaken and balance the chakras. These practices involve visualization, mantra, and pranayama techniques to access the subtle energy of each chakra and move towards spiritual awakening.

Participant Testimonials

I found this workshop very interesting. I've been practicing yoga for many years and also completed some courses before, however, I love to know more, expand my knowledge and this course definitely helped me to do it. Overall, I really liked this course and also I appreciate Dr. Santosh Pandey. He demonstrated very good knowledge on the subject, presented everything in a clear manner, answered all the questions and was encouraging us to participate in the discussion. I would definitely take another course with him.
