Kaivalyadhama continues the celebration of YogKala Mahotsav – a unique celebration of Yoga and Art in Lonavala. Through specially curated competitions such as SwaraYog (Vocal & Instrumental Music Competition), YogRang (Rangoli Competition), and FlowDance Performances, the event shall promote artistic expression while also nurturing community involvement.

YogKala Mahotsav promises an extraordinary blend of local talent and creativity as it unfolds into competitions open to all age groups within Lonavala’s vibrant community. The grand finale on 8th November 2025 will be graced by the presence of a prominent national figure.

On its 101st Foundation Day, Kaivalyadhama endeavours to spread important community messages through this annual tradition, fostering unity, creativity, and engagement within and around Lonavala.

We invite participation from schools, colleges, hotels, corporates, municipal bodies, police departments, the defence, and all institutions based in Lonavala and across Maharashtra to come together for this unique celebration.

The YogRang Rangoli Competition is a vibrant platform for artists to showcase their creativity through colours and patterns.

The contest celebrates balance, peace, and harmony by blending traditional rangoli art with the spirit of yoga.

Individual participants will design rangolis that reflect themes of yoga, mindfulness, and inner calm.

They will engage in a timed challenge focused on creativity, neatness, and thematic expression.

Instructions for Participants

1. Materials & Theme

  • Participants should create a rangoli reflecting the theme of yoga, balance, and inner peace.
  • Only natural colours, rangoli powders, flowers, or eco-friendly materials are allowed.
  • Use of stencils is not permitted; freehand designs are encouraged.

2. Competition Guidelines

  • Each participant will be allocated a 4 ft x 4 ft area.
  • Participants must bring all materials (colours, diyas, decorative items, brushes, sieves).
  • Extra decorative items (beads, stones, glitter) should not exceed 20% of the rangoli.

3. Time Limit

  • Each participant will have 1.5 hours to complete their rangoli.

4. Presentation

  • Rangoli designs should clearly represent the theme.
  • Participants may briefly explain the concept of their rangoli (1–2 minutes) during judging.

5. Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Avoid materials that can cause injury or stains to the venue.

The SwaraYog Competition is an inspiring stage for groups to present their musical talent through voice and instruments.

The contest celebrates spirituality and harmony, bringing together the power of sur (melody) and saaz (instrument).

Participants will perform songs that express devotion, peace, and inner connection at a mega event on 8th November 2025

They will engage in a timed performance, combining singing and live instrumental music to create a soulful impact.

Participate under the two groups as under

  • Interested groups will have to submit a One Minute Video/Reel of their singing and instrumental performance to be eligible for shortlisting. The reel can be with or without coordinated attire. Reels should be recorded using mobile cameras in landscape/horizontal mode.
  • Only shortlisted groups will be invited to perform at the event on 8th November 2025.
  • Each music performance should be a maximum of 7 minutes (including a 30-second introduction about the song and its link to spirituality).
  • Group size can be a maximum of 15 members (minimum 5).
  • Event Time: 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Shortlisted participants must reach venue by 3:00 pm

Instructions for Participants

1. Group Composition & Theme

  • Each group must have 5–15 participants.
  • Participants may choose freely how many sing and how many play instruments – there is no restriction.
  • The song must reflect spirituality, inner peace, or devotion.

2. Performance Guidelines

  • Only live instruments are allowed; karaoke tracks are not permitted.
  • Each group will be given max 30 seconds to introduce:
    • The name of the song
    • How it connects to spirituality
  • Time limit: 5–7 minutes (including introduction)
  • Groups must bring all instruments and accompaniment; microphones will be provided.
  • Costumes / coordinated attire is optional but encouraged.

Showcase a fusion of yoga asana, dance and music through a group performance at Kaivalyadhama on 8th November 2025. The performance must be based on combining flow of different yoga asanas with dance and music.

Participate under the two groups as under

  • Interested groups will have to submit a One Minute Video/Reel of their performance to be eligible for shortlisting. The reel can be with or without the performance costume. Reels can be shot using mobile cameras in landscape/horizontal mode.
  • Only shortlisted groups will be invited to perform at the event on 8th November 2025.
  • Each dance performance should be maximum 3 minutes.
  • Mimimum 3 participants.
  • Group size can be maximum 10.
  • Event Time: 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
  • First Prize: Rs. 5000
  • Second Prize: Rs. 3000
