As per the terms used it is Purva karma, Pradhan karma, and Paschat karma. This helps the body for preparation of the main therapy which is either of one procedure from Panchakarma. The therapies include Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya, and Rakthamokshan. After preparation, the main therapy of detoxification is practiced as planned. Post detoxification the rejuvenation therapy is done to give the whole process a comprehensive result. Throughout the process, there are certain supplements and medication advised as per need along with the dietary correction if any.

What are the 5 Fundamental Therapies?

  1. Vaman: Also called therapeutic vomiting
  2. Virechan: It is a medicated purgation therapy that specifically aims at eliminating toxins from the body.
  3. Basti: It is a therapeutic enema. It is either decoction-based or medicated oil-based
  4. Nasya: It is a nasal administration of the medication, mainly medicated oil. This helps for the complaints mainly of sinus, frequent cold, Neck and shoulder complaints also.
  5. Raktamoshan: Literally, like its name, is bloodletting therapy. When the toxins enter the blood level this therapy is done to release impurities from blood tissue.
