  • Chanting of Gītādhyāna Ślokas and all Ślokas of chapters 15, 12 and selected Ślokas of chapter 6 of Śrīmadbhagavadgītā.
  • Pronunciation of letters- Svaras and Vyañjanas (Vowels and Consonants) of Devanāgarī lipi (script).
  • This Course will have chanting of selected chapters of Śrīmadbhagavadgītā. We will begin with simple rules of Saṃskṛta pronunciation, which are required for the Śloka chanting. We will have the knowledge of the Saṃskṛta Akṣaras (letters) and how to pronounce them. The sound production process of Saṃskṛta is very smooth flowing process. It flows like a waterfall or like a river following natural inclination for movement. It is the travel of the prāṇa from in to out. The contact of different parts of mouth, tongue, teeth, lips and nasal cavity creates the sounds. We will concentrate only on pronouncing the Ślokas properly and not on their meanings.
  • Basic understanding of Sthāna / place of the sound production of the Saṃskṛta Akṣaras.
  • Practice of ‘Kaṇṭhaḥ’ / Guttural sounds, ‘Tālu’ / Palatal sounds, ‘Mūrdhā’ / Retroflexes, ‘Dantaḥ’ / Dentals, ‘Oṣṭhaḥ’ / Labials, Nāsikā / nasals, Kaṇṭhatālu / Guttural – Palatal sounds, Kaṇṭhoṣṭham/ Guttural – Labial sounds, Dantoṣṭham / Dental – Labial sounds etc.
