and Tantra Sadhana (Level II)
By Dr. R. S. Bhogal
6th to 13th September 2026
(Check-in: 6th September
Check-out: 13th September)
What is Yogic Lifestyle?
“Getting established in Yoga and being bereft of attachments one should engage in all activities of life and living and thus having achieved equipoise in both success and failure one would evidence Yoga as Equanimity (B.G.II: 48).”
One can infer the concept of Yogic life style from Kathopanishad that conceives human body as a chariot whereby five horses of that chariot are akin to five senses; mind is akin to the rein of that chariot, while intellect is the operator and the soul being the owner of the chariot. Therefore, Yogic Life Style may be defined as,
“An existential state when the senses and the mind are under a positive control of the intellect, while the intellect is in a perfect liaison with the soul, resulting into comprehensive awareness and comprehensive freedom through an ideal mind-body interaction, culminating into Transcendence and Self-existent Absolute Joy i.e. Prasada.”
Concept of Absolute Joy is the key to Success
Absolute Joy endows us with both freedom from the slavery of and mastery over our senses (B.G. VI: 21,22 & II: 48, 50). This state results into psycho-physiological self-sufficiency and homeostasis happening immediately. The first outcome of this process is Yogic Life Style, whereby one transcends his/her ordinary life to a fulfilling psycho-spiritual state of Absoluteness.
Significance of Yogic Life Style in Meditation
Yogic Life Style gives us a unique strength so as to accomplish worthy tasks at all costs whatsoever (B.G.VI: 1). Absolute Joy inherent in Yogic Life Style, makes us happy in all situations and make us immune to indulgence and undue attachments. Kriya Yoga (P.Y.S. II: 2) endows us with Samadhi Bhavana (Feeling of Samadhi) and Klesha Tanukarana (Attenuation of inborn afflictions) and facilitate one’s smooth journey into Dhyana. It has been corroborated by subjective response feedback of thousands of practitioners of Kriya Yoga.
Essence of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra
The essence of this ancient text will be accessible through embodying the very heart of Bhairava towards absolute freedom revealing itself in Iccha Shakti (Will Power), Jnana Shakti (Knowledge Power) and Kriya Shakti, in a practitioner’s journey from I-consciousness (ordinary existential life) to Universal Consciousness (supra conscious life).
Essence of Shiva Samhita Sadhana
Shiva Samhita spells a synthesis of Advaita Vedantic Darshan with the practical techniques of Hatha Yoga. Shiva Samhita is also held as a synthesis of Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Tantra and Vedanta Traditions. It speaks of Pratikopasana (Symbol Meditation). Uniquely simple yet powerful Dhyana processes which we find in Shiva Samhita are very rare to be found in other Hatha Yoga texts.
