Eligibility
- 500 Hours of Yoga Certification, Exceptions can be made in special cases.
- Ability to perform and teach Asana’s in the “Traditional Way”.
- Preliminary familiarity with the essential yogic texts.
- Ability to be seated in a meditative pose for a minimum of 30 -40 minutes without changing positions.
- One shall be able to slow down their inhalation by minimum of 5 seconds and exhalation by 10 seconds, that is 4 breaths per minute.
Students will be expected to learn all the Six Kriyas. Exceptions can be made in case of medical limitations.
The objectives of this course are:
- To provide correct, authentic and authoritative training in Pranayama based on traditional texts and science in the Kaivalyadhama Lineage.
- With Pranayama generating much interest in the current yoga culture worldwide and it being an immensely important and sensitive practice, it is pivotal that Pranayama be taught correctly from a traditional, technical and scientific perspective.
- Keeping the above in mind Kaivalyadhama has designed a course where students will gain a proper understanding of Pranayamic practices from an intellectual (traditional, technical and scientific) as well as practical and experiential point of view so that they can correctly teach the same to students in various settings.
- The overall theme of this course will revolve around the definition, the technique/techniques (and its variations) and the outcome of Pranyamic practices. The outcome will be discussed based on Ayurveda as well as modern science.
Course fees:
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – 6000 Euros for 3 Years Plus room and board and food extra. (Remittable @ 2000 Euros per year in advance). Exam Fees – 200 Euros per year
FOR INDIAN STUDENTS – Rs. 75000 for 3 years, plus room and board and food extra. (Remittable @ Rs. 25000 per year in advance). Exam Fees – at the end of each year – Rs. 5000

- Copy of the yoga Certificate.
- A 1000 word essay on your understanding of traditional yoga, why is it important based on the traditional texts you are familiar with. Please also name the texts.
- A description of your personal yogic practices.
- A meaningful description of why do you want to teach Pranayama.
